“TRAVELING FORMS A YOUNG MAN”

The citizens of Kindy City have recently taken part in wonderful practical lessons at Dam Sen Cultural Park.

Through an outdoor learning method, the field trip at Dam Sen Park, which was a part of the “Trees study” project, brought many practical experiences in the natural environment, landscape and animals. Moreover, the citizens can relate what they have learned in the classroom to what they have seen with their eyes as well as expand and arrange knowledge in a natural way.

A series of questions were asked as they took part in the journey to the aquarium such as “Teacher, why does the fish keep following my hands?” “It looks like a rock, why do they call it coral?” and, “Teacher, may I call them baby fish, sister fish?”.

With instructions given by teachers, the citizens become more familiar with plants and the role that solar energy has on the development and growth of trees. Furthermore, they can practice their observation skills as well as the ability to make judgments while visiting the cactus house.

“Let us go to the flower garden. Here are the flowers under the sunshine. I want to pick up a flower. Teacher told me not to do so. Flowers are for everyone” – That was the song the citizens were singing when they were visiting the flower garden.

They also listen to teachers who told the story about “The big trunk”.

This field trip not only brings about the scientific understanding about flora and fauna, but also improves observation skills, explores the natural environment and enhances some soft skills for them such as co-operation skills, public behavior skill etc.

The citizens enjoy taking part in the game “Flower or Bud”

And they also like “Golden leaves collection”

Learn through play, build up knowledge and practice good manners are the main ways of education and parenting at Kindy City International Preschool.
