Halloween is one of the most anticipated festivals of the year.
With the slogan “Join us if you dare for a Halloween scare!”, our little Kindy Citizens joined the spooky adventures with teachers to learn about the Western culture and customs through a variety of age-appropriate activities.
During the festival, children portrayed their favorite characters, carrying their little bags knocking at “neighbor’s doors” for candies saying “Trick or treat”. They were all excited to talk about their “achievements” after going back to their class, “I got 5”, “I got 7”, “I got 9”…It’s their decision to share the candies that makes this activity meaningful. The whole class was full of laughter when everyone shared and ate their sweets.
Below are some moments captured from the Halloween festival at Kindy City:
Children portraying their favorite characters
Teachers telling a myth about Halloween
Singing at the festival
Reading “Trick or treat” for candies at other classes
Moreover, students got to join the distinctive Halloween activities, namely “Exploring mysterious boxes”, “Bringing the candies home”, “Catch that ghost”, “Pumpkin Spider Web”, “Cute Popcorn”, and “Magical ring toss”
Students at Kindy City International Preschool had a good time tackling the Western culture holiday via various games all month long in October. What lies under these activities is the happiness of sharing with others and the value of being selfless.
