Students at Kindy City just experienced their Funtastic Summer days with the Learn through Play approach, which is an effective way for children to acquire science, language, arts, social-emotional and physical skills. It also gets them excited, confident and ready for the new school year.
“FUNTASTIC SCIENCE QUEST”, a part of our year-round curriculum at Kindy City, is the very answer to parents who are unsure about whether children should just play or learn during summer and how to combine both learning and playing in the most productive way.
“FUNtastic Science Quest 2016”, with 27 well-chosen activities based on the American Creative Curriculum, focuses on developing children’s pronunciation, vocabulary, math skills, science and creativity. More importantly, children will become more self-reliant, adaptive and sociable after only 9 summer weeks.
Looking back on the achievements of summer 2016
By exercising scientific experiments with the “LEARN THROUGH PLAY” approach, besides getting to know the world and their surroundings, students at Kind City will practice good habits such as being patient and always finishing their activities once they have started them. Children will learn to raise questions, offer their opinions and present their results.
On the 29th of July, the last activities of the summer course – “Summer Jamboree 2016” were held at all Kindy City Campuses. Children had an overall review on things they learnt during 9 weeks. The students got to decorate and put up the tents together with their teachers and learn how to prepare snacks and utensils for a little picnic or field trip.

Besides decorating, children joined a series of activities, which required the ability to observe, creativity and speed.
