Recently, Kindy City International Preschool has established an article on Mental and Physical Psychology Consultancy for preschoolers. The article based on the theme named “How to raise kids to be healthy and teach them to be good”which has been a concern shared by a lot of parents. Most of the questions we received were around nutrition for children and concern about experiences when raising kids, and kids’ psychological development. Having the consultancy from two experts Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hong (Dr of Education) and Ms. Dao Thi Yen Thuy (Specialist Doctor I), parents felt more relived to have their worries and concerns reduced.
Among 20 questions that parents sent to Kindy City Preschool, one question raised by Ms Katie Nguyen was “I would like to ask about my son’s habit of touching his “willy”, is there any effect and what should I do then? Thank you”. This question was voted by experts to be the best question of the week. Expert Bich Hong also shared “preschoolers are at the age of self-exploration, so the action of touching the sexual parts of body is natural. You should not focus on it as that makes kids worry. You’d better limit the habit by encouraging them to take part in other activities such as playing football in the playground, watching TV or we could suggest some toys for them to play. You can take advantage of the opportunity when kids are having a good time to tell them that touching their body with dirty hands could lead to sickness and it would hurt the body. This will help children keep their hands clean when they continue to touch.”
