During the nine week long summer, from May 30 to July 29, all the preschoolers at Kindy City International Preschool have experienced the amazing ‘FUNtastic Science Quest’.
‘FUNtastic Science Quest’ is a part of the academic and developmental program that runs throughout the year. With 27 sophisticatedly-designed activities based around the American Creative Curriculum – ‘My five senses’; ‘Decoding the mystery box’; ‘Fun facts about the human body’; ‘Grassy hair in shapes of toys’; ‘Archeology – Dinosaur facts & dinosaur egg painting’; ‘Trip to the theme park’; ‘Aqua aerobics’; and ‘Summer Jamboree 2016’ to name a few. ‘FUNtastic Science Quest 2016’ is aimed at helping children get used to critical thinking, stimulate their creativity, improve their life skills and better their linguistic abilities as well as ultimately boost their physical development.
With the effective studying approach of ‘Learn through Play’, students will have many chances to share and communicate with others. Using scientific experiments, students will not only gain wider perspectives of the world and the natural environment, but they will also get to exercise their patience and the spirit of pursuing work until it’s done. More importantly, these activities under the science theme will gradually form the habit of positive critical thinking, questioning, commenting, analyzing and presenting.
In essence, after this nine week long journey, the children will build an ‘I can do it!’ attitude and get excited for the upcoming school year.
This will leave unforgettable footprints in their childhood memories. Kids will understand the complicated and difficult science of everyday life via hands-on experience at ‘FUNtastic Science Quest.’
