When the mooncake stores are displayed along the streets with sparkling lights from the lanterns, we know that Mid-Autumn season is coming around the corner. There is one thing that we must admit, any Vietnamese child is eager to welcome Mid-Autumn Tet. This is the reason why folks usually call it Tet for kids.
At Kindy City International Preschool, we not only provide the children with modern scientific knowledge, but also work out for them the beautiful values of life and Vietnamese culture. On September 25th, the school will hold a playing field around the theme “Happy Full-moon Festival” for the citizens of the City of Childhood in order to better understand the origin and the significance of the festival. This will be achieved through creative decoration of traditional lanterns and listening to a lot of interesting Mid-Autumn stories told through drama. Particularly, the children get to hand out a Mid-Autumn festival cake and fruit and partake in a lantern parade with Hang and Cuoi. These activities promise to bring the kids plenty of laughter and will help them discover lots of cultural values.
