In the world of seeming “magic” that surrounds childhood, being able to make one’s own costumes out of everyday outfits with fun shapes or sparkle, is always a fun activity for children. Last week, Kindy City International Preschool organized a Costume event with many creative thinking activities based on the “Clothing” topic. There was also a drive to convey the messages of environmental protection by eco-friendly clothes for the students.
The aim of the topic was to help children know the various names of clothes, as well as feel and understand the material of each common costume so that they can distinguish different clothes. The school also aims to help children look after their own clothing in this way, supporting their families through hanging and folding their own clothes.
During the festive weekend, you can choose either to watch documentary films about how silk threads are made from silkworm or to meticulously train your active hands by learning the trendy past time of knitting. While the older students can creatively design their own paper T- shirts, the smaller ones are excited to pick up some colors as well as to tell the differences between boy and girl clothing. In addition, a wide range of fun activities are implemented throughout the festive week for example: Sock throwing (pick up a sock and throw at the target), fashion accessory making, kids walk and so on. All these things are expected to build up a “lively fashion week” at “Kindy city”.
