In the first five years especially, children are exploring, learning and asking questions about themselves and the outside world. Their physical development is stimulated by playing, exercising, and interacting with their friends and teachers. Those are the most significant years in a child’s life. And such progress is hard to review in just a few hours.
Different from other traditional year-end celebrations filled with statistic figures and endless reports, Kindy City’s End Of School Year Celebrations for 2015 – 2016 was full of fun and excitement with 12 performances (singing, dancing, yoga in both Tran Quoc Thao and Cong Hoa campus) and Games for different age groups.
After Ms. Amy Hellen Wilkes and Ms. Melissa Jayne Melrose delivered their speeches, parents could compare notes with teachers regarding their children’s development in different areas, according to the scale in the Creative Curriculum. Children in all classes have reached the national standards of physical development, extending their understanding about the surrounding environment, exploring their creativity capacity, especially developing their English language acquisition, social emotions, and last but not least, taking care of themselves.
Only after 40 weeks of “Learn through Play” with various themes, children have become more confident, active and sociable. They started learning how to interact with their friends and behave with manners at school and at home. All students were so eager to get the Certificate of Completion from the Board of Management to mark a special journey of their lives.
The most memorable moment was when the children took over the stage to give their performances. This was proof of their confidence, social skills and their sense of the arts and music. On the first day students set foot in a new school, without the constant care of their beloved family, they can be a little shy and scared but then at the END OF SCHOOL CELEBRATIONS, KINDY CITY’s citizens showed their CAN DO ATTITUDE to parents by giving such incredible performances.
Many parents were so touched to see many positive changes in their kids and see how they got such love and care at school – the second family for them. This END OF SCHOOL YEAR CELEBRATIONS will be one of the most colorful experiences of their childhood memory.
