KINDY CITY KIDS ENJOYED THE WATER PUPPETRY PERFORMING ART

Children at kindergarten ages are fond of storytelling and talking about the details of the stories they hear.

During the recent trip to the Gold Dragon Water Puppet Theatre, Kindy City students experienced storytelling from a fascinating water stage and had the chance to watch a water puppet show as well as meet the performing artists.

When the stage light turned on, strange and lively characters appeared from behind the red blinds to entertain all the little spectators in the crowd.

A picture of the Vietnamese countryside appeared on stage with images of buffalo herdsman, farmers and rowing boats. Students could not take their eyes off the action where they could see a golden tortoise and a dragon blowing fire, like that of the legend of Sword Lake. Some students passionately watched the scenes and clapped their hands whereas the others felt timid and curious watching a dragon blowing fire for the first time. Teu, a character introducing the show, moved around the four supernatural creatures in Orient Culture and made some innocent queries, which also intrigued the students.
